Enrollment

For the week of July 20^th:  

1. Preschool is full with a total of 47 students.  The enrollment for Preschool decreased by one.  The ISE board capped enrollment at 40 students.  During that time 48 parents confirmed enrollment.  Any new applications will be added to the waitlist.  We are expecting attrition to bring the enrollment down to the 40.  Students will move from the wait list to active enrollment, if enrollment dips below 40.
2. Letters continue to be sent to the parents who have completed applications confirming enrollment and providing an update on school related issues. 

Marketing

1. Informational meetings - Our next informational meeting will be July 29.  We are calling the meeting "Enrollment Day" and are encouraging parents to invite a guest who registers a child to Xavier can have their name entered into a drawing to receive a $50 cash reward. There will be 3 $50 prizes.  In addition, parents will have the opportunity to purchase and pick-up pre-paid uniform shirts, and get questions answered regarding transportation to school.
2. Flyers have been distributed to local churches and businesses.  A copy of our flyer will be included in the South Bend Housing Newsletter, scheduled for July 30^th. We also, have included a Flyer written in Spanish that is posted throughout the Westside of South Bend within the Spanish speaking community.  The Xavier teaching staff along with the director will pass out flyers in areas where the need for parents to make "choice" is critical.
3. Radio: A radio announcement scheduled for 1 week on South Bend's Sunny 101.3 will air from July 29^th - August 13^th along with an announcement to air on CAT 95.
4. Newspaper - We have scheduled to 1/2 Black and White page in the South Bend Tribune that will run for two weeks from July 29th - August 9^th
5. eVoice -The message is updated to indicate the location and telephone number for the new office as well as information for the next Informational Meeting on July 29^th.
6. Website - (www.isefundn.org) There were 828 total Application Downloads for K-5, and a total of 384 Pre-Kindergarten downloads.  For the RFPs that were issued, we had over 528 downloads of the 6 different RFPs.  The Xavier School Supply List was added 7/27/2009 at 1:00pm which received 5 downloads, by 4pm.   Parents are monitoring the website and using it as an effective tool for communication. 
7. Transportation - We have had several parents express interest in transportation.  We have initiated contact to determine if we can contract with a local school bus owner/operator, work with the local school corporation, as well as set up carpooling.  Carpooling table will be at the Enrollment day on July 29, to group interested parents together.
